We have created these signup list’s to keep track of things. We hope you can join us in helping our Hixson Band this marching season. We have MANY opportunities.
- CONCESSION STAND Please use this sign-up list to help the band at HOME football games by working with us in the concession stand. This is a fun way to get involved with helping out our Hixson Band. New volunteers are always welcome!
- AWAY GAME CHAPERONE Please use this sign-up list to chaperone AWAY games and band competitions: chaperones must ride the bus to/from away games with students and provide general supervision during the event.
- LETS WATER THE BAND! We need to keep the kids hydrated during practices, home games, competitions and away games. As you can imagine we use a large amount of water. If you have would like to contribute, please drop off a case of water at the band room. We appreciate your support!
- CHATTANOOGA LOOKOUTS: We still need help working at the Lookouts games. Please help us by urging your student to signup for some of the games. We will meet at the band room before each home game and carpool to the stadium. For details, please see Cayce Rose at 423-280-3050.

Join us to help raise money for our HHS Band program as we Volunteer in the concessions at The Lookouts game. We will meet at The HHS Band Room at 5:30 p.m. to carpool down to the stadium. The annual Concession Stand/Band Room clean up day will be on Saturday, August 3 starting at 8:00 a.m. We would love to see you there! A thank you lunch for volunteers will be held at 12:00.

Marching Band Camp starts Monday July 15th – Friday July 19th 8:00 a.m to 4:30 p.m.
***BRING WATER AND SUNSCREEN***
SPIRIT DAY during camp are as follows:
*Monday: Crazy Sock Day.
*Tuesday: Color Day.
Freshman—GREEN, Sophomores—BLUE, Juniors—WHITE, Seniors—RED
*Wednesday: Twin Day.
*Thursday: 1980’s Day.
*Friday: Black and Gold Day.
Also we will have after Band Camp Activities during Band Camp Week.
*Monday 5:00-10:00 Pool Party at Bay Pointe at Marina Cove neighborhood pool. We will serve pizza and refreshments. Parents are also invited.
*Thursday Battle of the Band Bowling at Spare Time in Hixson. Due to bowling leagues we cannot start until 8:00 p.m.
*Friday 4:30 p.m. End of Marching Band Camp Cookout. Parents and family are invited as we celebrate the kickoff to our 2019-2020 season. We will celebrate at The HHS Band Room.

This year, for the first time in a while, we are taking a trip to the Drums Across the Smokies drum corps show in Knoxville on Thursday, July 11th. Here’s a link to information on which groups are competing.
This trip is not mandatory, but will be a great time to hang out with your fellow band members and see some world class marching performances. The cost is $30 per person (covers a ticket to the show and bus transportation to and from Knoxville). Please fill out this form by this Friday, June 28th if you plan to attend.

Since we are out of school, money and permission forms need to be turned in by the time we leave on the 11th. Please only sign up if you do plan to go, as any unused tickets will cost the band money!
Change to the calendar – we will not have rehearsal tomorrow (Thursday, May 30) for new marchers. Good job this week and see you in July!
